Greetings, Arawyn Crew!

If we haven’t heard from you in a while, I hope this finds you well. Please let us know your status — we are always happy to help you re-engage in the sim.

As we wrap up our plot for The Displaced, if you are closing out logs connected to that plot, please be sure to post them there. The plot will remain open for a short while as we finish things up. I will be logging soon about the USS Arawyn heading to a planet to enjoy some shore leave.

These in-between periods are an excellent…

Podcast-Style Summaries Now on YouTube

Not an official podcast, not something heavily produced, but some of you already know from Discord that I’ve been experimenting with an AI-generated, podcast-style summary of our sim logs. I have no plans to do formal sim reports or weekly summaries, but I find this format fascinating. It’s quick for me to produce and may help anyone who’s struggling to keep up with the flow of posts.

There are no posting minimums here, and if anyone ever needs a hand getting re-engaged, please let me know. My plan is to share these every other week,…

» Fractured Accord – Coming Soon

Posted on 16 Aug 2025 @ 4:48am by Captain Sabrina Corbin in Sim Announcement

Epsilon Fleet Command has given the USS Arawyn her first true test: a convoy escort into the disputed Tavrik system. On the surface, the assignment is routine — safeguard three science and terraforming vessels on their journey to Tavrik III and provide protection while critical upgrades are made planetside.

But the Tavrik region is anything but routine. Rival factions stake claims, colonists clash over Federation presence, and the balance between diplomacy and disaster hangs by a thread.

Launching soon, Fractured Accord will take the Arawyn and her crew into contested space, where trust is fragile, tensions are high, and the…

Don’t mind the dust, things are still coming together around here.

The Arawyn is officially open for business (or mischief, depending on your department). If you've found your way to this message, congratulations, you've got a head start on the rest of the crew. That means it’s time to polish those boots, dust off those pips, and report in. We’re building something special, and your character might just be the chaos catalyst, or the voice of reason, this Sovereign-class beauty needs.

Until then, poke around, make yourself at home, and if you break anything, well, just say Ops was already…

Mission: Lathira Shoreleave
Posted on 25 Jan 2026 @ 5:38pm by Commander Suzanna Batenburg

Suzanna let the heat of the Vulcan sun envelop her now that her meditation was complete. She finally felt balanced again, with that overdue task completed. She had learned many of the meditation techniques from the Kolinahr on her home planet, yet also realizing that she was half human, also had studied meditation on Earth and found her own unique blend of the two.

Where the Kolinahr suppressed emotion completely, knowing that as a half-Vulcan she would not be able to achieve that, nor want to, since it would mean denying half of her heritage, Suzanna used the Kolinahr techniques…

Mission: Lathira Shoreleave
Posted on 24 Jan 2026 @ 11:58pm by Lieutenant JG Ryan Collingway & Lieutenant JG Mira Quinn

//Mess Hall///

Glumly Ryan poked the dead fish with his fork. It was supposed to be a delicacy from Lathiria. But he wasn't hungry. For multiple reasons.

Eight hours had gone quickly and he was released from confinement. He had gone to work in Engineering. The schedule was gruelling-mostly doing the work the repair teams were supposed to be doing. He bore it all in silence. His punishment had yet to be handed down. Thankfully the CEO was still settling in, so he had yet to see him. Everyone had to eat eventually though, so he was here.

But given…

Mission: Lathira Shoreleave
Posted on 23 Jan 2026 @ 1:24pm by Lieutenant JG Ryan Collingway

///USS Arawyn////

The rogue team of engineers beamed back to the Arawyn, then they were escourted in groups to crew quarters. Each guard was silent but it was clear they were not happy spending the night dealing with drunken Ensigns. No one pushed their luck. At this point plenty of personnel had returned back to the ship and gave Ryan plenty of amused looks. It was mortifying.

Ryan had gotten upgraded quarters with his promotion. More room and privacy. He loved it, but hadn't had a lot of time to enjoy it. He didn't have a roommate at the moment,…

Mission: Lathira Shoreleave
Posted on 23 Jan 2026 @ 6:17am by Lieutenant Commander Elias Harlan & Lieutenant Jorik

It had been hours since Elias negotiated the release of the junior officers and sent them back to the ship. He stayed planetside, supervising the damage-control teams himself—senior engineers, mostly full lieutenants and seasoned petty officers who’d been aboard the Arawyn long enough to know her quirks but not long enough to know him.

They sized each other up quickly. No posturing, no territorial nonsense—just quiet nods when someone handed over a fused relay or called out a voltage spike. They knew their stuff. He knew his. The work moved fast as dawn crept closer. Lieutenant Kael hadn’t exaggerated about…

Mission: Lathira Shoreleave
Posted on 23 Jan 2026 @ 6:14am by Lieutenant JG Mira Quinn & Lieutenant Commander Elias Harlan & Lieutenant JG Ryan Collingway

///Brig, Lathira IV////

Ryan was sitting in the cell, waiting with everyone else. His buzz had long worn off, and his head was about to approach the beginning of pain. He was in serious trouble, and he knew it. Even though he hadn't done the deed, he was still the ranking officer. A promotion that only happened a few days ago. He would give a lot for that not to be the case.

He suddenly heard footsteps. Commander Harlan. He stood and straightened up. "Sir," he said simply. "I take full responsibility for what happened."

Corin blinked awake to a…

» The Long Crawl: Part VI

Posted on 20 Jan 2026 @ 9:51pm by Lieutenant Commander Elias Harlan

Elias was up early the next morning—freshly showered, uniform crisp, two cups of coffee already down before he left his quarters. The run-in with Jorik still lingered like a low-grade plasma leak, but he pushed it aside. Today wasn’t about old wounds. Today was about the test.

His stride had purpose as he walked the corridors. Junior officers and crew subconsciously parted for him—serious Lieutenant Commander, unknown face, quiet authority that didn’t need words. A couple of ensigns nodded as they stepped off the turbolift he entered; he turned, faced forward, and said simply, “Main Engineering.”

The Excelsior’s engine room…

» The Long Crawl: Part V

Posted on 20 Jan 2026 @ 9:50pm by Lieutenant Commander Elias Harlan

Elias sat at the small desk in his guest quarters, nursing his second cup of coffee and staring at the same PADD screen he’d been reading for the last hour without really seeing it. The run-in with Jorik two days ago hadn’t gone as badly as it could have—nobody had ended up in sickbay, nobody had been court-martialed—but it had been tense, raw, and loaded with emotions he had no interest in unpacking right now.

So he’d taken to hiding in his quarters. It was the one place on the Intrepid where Jorik wasn’t likely to appear unless he deliberately…

USS Interpid
En-Route to Lathira IV

Two days had passed since the personnel transfer, and the Intrepid’s corridors felt narrower than usual.

Elias had turned avoidance into an art form. He’d mapped out the ship’s quieter arteries like a man charting escape routes: the lower-deck Jefferies tubes where the lighting was dim and the hum of secondary power systems drowned out footsteps, the auxiliary sensor labs that rarely saw senior staff, the small observation alcove on Deck 12 with a viewport nobody ever used because it faced the warp nacelles instead of stars. He knew every shift change, every patrol…

USS Intrepid
En-Route Lathira IV

Elias Harlan was halfway through his first week aboard the Intrepid, and so far he’d managed to stay mostly out of everyone’s hair.

He kept to guest quarters, the occasional mess-hall run for coffee that was at least drinkable, and the quiet corners of the ship where no one expected him to make small talk. Rebecca had delivered the weekly senior officers’ dinner invite in person, her expression somewhere between sisterly insistence and XO command. Captain Harrington had apparently taken a personal interest—why, Elias couldn’t begin to guess. He’d accepted, figuring refusal would only draw…

“Ensign, take this to the guest quarters I specified earlier,” Rebecca said, handing Elias’s duffel to a young crewman who’d been hovering discreetly just outside the transporter room door.

The ensign snapped a quick “Yes, Commander” and disappeared down the corridor with the bag. The transporter chief, lingering at his post, caught Rebecca’s warm nod and smile before slipping back inside the room with practiced efficiency.

“I could’ve carried that myself,” Elias muttered, swallowing the sigh that wanted to follow.

“And give you the…
