| General Overview | Suzanna has, for a Vulcan, above average telepathic abilities. Besides being a skilled touch telepath, who studied with the Kolinarh Adepts at Gol for a year to improve her abilities to control (and shield) her telepathic skills. She is also an empath, being able to sense feelings; this is comparable to that of a 1/2 Betazoid/1/2 human hybrid of people within close proximity (5 metres distance max). She tends to be fairly strict, but can be very flexible, she just needs to know when to be flexible. The other tendency is to be straight and to the point and not beat around the bush. She is someone that leads by example and is not afraid to get her hands dirty. She would never ask someone to do something that she wouldn't want to do herself. She has high standards and expectations of her crew, but holds herself to an even higher standard. As a half Vulcan, she's never fully engaged or understood the human concept of small talk. |
| Personal History | For a long time, Suzanna had rebelled against joining Starfleet. She was a scientist. A Xeno-Anthropologist, researcher, earned a PhD before she realised that the best way for her to continue her research was to join Starfleet. Because she was spending more and more time working to raise funds for the research projects instead of doing the research. Her first posting after the academy was the USS Wright, just a junior science officer, but it had put her out into space, where she wanted to be. And after a promotion to Lieutenant Junior, she had joined Starbase 409, Koliada. Which had been followed by a promotion again, and a position as Chief Science Officer on a ship again. And in some ways, that had been the beginning of the end. At least as direct Science officer. She'd been transferred as XO on a dedicated science ship and that had been followed by a promotion to Captain and given her own ship. An old-timer at that. But one with the latest up to date technology. On her first mission as Captain, the Erasmus answered a distress call and was helping when the planet with very little warning exploded. The Erasmus managed to beam off 600 of the Leminans, 100 of which perished when debris of the exploding planet damaged the fleeing Erasmus, which also cost the lives of nearly half the Erasmus crew. An Enquiry cleared her of any blame for the damage and the deaths on the Erasmus and with support of Admiral Blokpoel, head of the Science Counsel and in command of SB742 the Erasmus was repaired. After this incident, Suzanna took an ELOA, but was recalled to Starfleet after the space battle for Earth, she was reactivated, but refused to return with her old rank of Captain. Instead they agreed on a rank of Commander and assignment in Fleet Science. She is currently working for Admiral Blokpoel on SB369 |
