Suzanna sat in the XO chair as the reports were coming in, her bio control noticed that her blood pressure was rising. She also noticed that she was blinking, and her internal control was clamping down. Realising this was her response to the hallucinations, she needed to focus inwards to keep control of her mind. It meant slower responses, but logic dictated that a slower full response was better than allowing hallucinations to take hold.

Her hands trembled as she listened and observed people around her. Both the Captain and the Doctor were affected. Thankfully, both were medicated fast and recovered. Karadine also gave her one of the bubble pill pockets. Her trembling hands made it hard to open, but she managed and placed the blue waver under her tongue. It took a moment to dissolve, and before Suzanna started to notice some relief of her symptoms. She was still wary about letting any of the clamping down loosen, though. With most of the crew so affected, someone had to be there to stay lucid.

“Log this as subspace-induced temporal perception variance,” she said. “Medical continues treating symptoms. Science tracks causation. Engineering maintains containment parameters. No speculation beyond that.”

Suzanna nodded and tapped on the small screen that was in the arm rest of the chair. “Aye, Captain.” She attached the various sensor logs and references to medical reports to it. The effects of the medication were slowly helping speed up her thinking again. Less effort was required to maintain control, and it was a relief. She focused on the reports that were coming in from the various departments, they also went to the chiefs but given the circumstances, Suzanna was in the loop.

She raised an eyebrow when she noticed the report from the science and engineering department, using Anyons to flood the rift to counteract the temporal phase shift that was causing the hallucinations.

Corbin’s voice called out over the bridge. “Engineering, where are we on feasibility modelling for harmonic stabilization through the deflector? I want projected limits, failure modes, and clear abort windows. And Science, how is coordination with Engineering progressing? Based on the Eirian data, how long can this corridor be held before we start seeing structural shear?”

She settled back into command posture, voice even and deliberate. “Let’s bring the unknown back into something we can measure.”

Suzanna turned to Sorvak, “Commander, in addition, there is the suggestion to use high density anyon particles to counteract the phase shift, if memory serves, this should stabiles the rift as well?”

"Captain, I am sending the statistical data now. We can, in theory, hold the rupture for thirty-two minutes before we have to go into power reserves. If we don't discontinue five minutes after that, we will risk damaging the shield emitters. Unknown variable is the creature. If it decides to attack us during that time, the ship could be exposed. We are working on refining the harmonic communications as well to signal our intention."

Suzanna turned to Corbin, “The anyons could help keep it more stable, as well. It could buy us time. How long until the Eirians are ready to move?”
