"Engineering, where are we on feasibility modeling for harmonic stabilization through the deflector? I want projected limits, failure modes, and clear abort windows.”

Like most of the departments, Lelina had been sufficiently distracted by an engineer believing that the warp core was going to explode. It had taken two medics to sedate him. After brushing off a dozen apologies, she had gotten back to work.

The bridge had approved the plan to use anyon particles, and she had dispersed them throughout the ship as a precautionary measure. Medical would follow up if it worked or not. For now she had other things to do.

She activated the com. "Captain, I am sending the statistical data now. We can, in theory, hold the rupture for thirty-two minutes before we have to go into power reserves. If we don't discontinue five minutes after that we will risk damaging the shield emitters. Unknown variable is the creature. If it decides to attack us during that time the ship could be exposed. We are working on refining the harmonic communications as well to signal our intention."
