Mission:
The Displaced
Location: Eirian Ship

Ryan glanced at Mira, wondering where the alien wanted to send her. To investigate the displacement, perhaps? He remebered how she felt earlier. "If you need anything, just holler," he said reassuringly.
"Engineer....." The one named Kaet said. "Follow."
Ryan followed him. The interior of the passageway was dark, with a soft glowing light from an interior vein. There was some things that were universal among all ships. This was screaming 'low power mode'.
He was led to a large chamber that resembled an engineering of some kind. He could see plenty of buttons and conduits, but they seemed to be along the wall, rather than in the middle of any station. Below them on a second level he could see two large reactors of some kind. Evidently they were not working, because the low power mode extended here. "How does this work?"
"We have...interface," Kaet said, touching his hands on his chest. "If interface is down...manual touch. Neither works."
Experimentally Ryan touched one of the buttons. It clicked but did nothing. From his toolkit he took a probe and lightly tossed it into the air. It hovered and scanned everything. Ryan took a look at the readings. "Most of the circuitry looks intact from what I can tell. Your systems probably fried from...whatever hit you. What did hit you, by the way?"
The response back made no sense on the universal translator. Ryan decided to let it go for the moment and took out his communicator. "Ensign Collingway to Lieutenant Evans. I'm sending along some readings of the ship."
"Go ahead," Evans said calmly. "Hmm...you're thinking what I'm thinking?"
"We probably need to borrow a starter from Arawyn. Reactor looks different from what I'm used to. I see matter/antimatter mixing, but other elements I don't recognize."
"Photonic crystals," Kaet said helpfully.
"All right. Computer says it should be safe enough. Let's send a little power from the Arawyn and see how this ship handles it. Stand by for warp energy transfer," Lelita said.
The Arawyn sent a beam of energy from one deflector control to another. For a second there was nothing. Then engineering suddenly burst into light and sound. Ryan glanced around as several holographic interfaces came on.
He didn't enjoy it for long.
A sudden pain went through his skull, sharp enough to make him stagger. He stepped back. "What was /that/?"
"....ship. Scanned you," Kaet said.
"Um, could it not?" Ryan asked.
"Sorry. Not used to...humans. Shouldn't happen again." Kaet touched the interface nearby. "We have....added you. Can use systems now."
"Thanks," Ryan said, taking a deep breath. "Okay, let's see where the worst of the damage is..."
