Mission Summary

During transit to Tavrik III, the convoy suffered a deliberate act of sabotage when a navigational buoy detonated, crippling the USS Newton. Rapid investigation revealed the presence of microscopic, self-replicating nanotechnology embedded within the vessel’s hull. Analysis confirmed the nanites originated from repurposed Vethari mining constructs, exposing a calculated attempt to destabilize the region while masking responsibility through falsified transponder data.

Upon arrival at Tavrik III, tensions escalated further when Kaldari Union forces landed on the surface and asserted planetary control. A confrontation at the terraforming site resulted in catastrophic system feedback, flash-freezing the colony zone before triggering violent and uncontrolled regrowth.
