Mission: The Displaced
Timeline: During the senior officers' briefing

Lt Cmdr Sorvak listened as Lt Evans described the findings from Engineering.

"We discovered more than a void," Sorvak said. He glanced at the Captain, then continued at her nod.

He tapped at his PADD and the holographic projection before them rotated, shifting to a top-down lengthwise schematic. A region close to the hull started glowing in red. "Here, a section of space appears excised — a void. Within it, sensors detected a repeating harmonic resonance. Its structure is consistent with the subspace rupture. This is very probably a remnant of the force that tore through the ship and displaced it here."

He shifted the display to a current sensor image. The hull of the holographic display pulsed visibly. "The hull exhibits iridescent veins. Their composition may provide insight into the species’ origin and technology. More significantly, we theorize that the vessel and its occupants share cognitive properties. Continued analysis may be essential to determining the mechanism that displaced the ship to this location."

Sorvak paused. “However, Medical has restricted further examination on the grounds that any intrusive testing may be construed as experimentation upon the survivors.”
