--- 30 mins later in the conference room ---

Suzanna strode into the conference room, behind the Captain, and took her seat to the right of Corbin. One by one the other senior officers came in. it had been several hours since the alien ship had appeared and for her part, she had more questions than answers, even when trying to keep up with the interim information from the various departments.

Once all were seated, and Corbin nodded to her, Suzanna spoke. "Who wants to go first with their report?"

Lelina started her report. "We've scanned and identified the basic nuts and bolts of a ship-reactors which draw energy to create propulsion. Fourteen levels in total. A bridge, an engineering, crew quarters, etc. Low gravity on the ship, ionized atmosphere. But the technology itself seems advanced. Very advanced. Technology we cannot easily identify. Ensign Quinn has also discovered an area we cannot scan at all. It seems it is...Displaced, for lack of a better scientific term. No way to identify the cause of the rupture from these scans alone. We need the flight log from the ship alone to gather more details. At the same time, no indication of internal security active."

Satisfied with her report, Lelina sat back in her chair and waited for everyone else. She had heard at the 11th hour that science might have more details, and was looking forward to learning more.
